Calling all Los Angeles residents! Director Julien Nitzberg has a list of irrefutable reasons why it's your patriotic duty to see his film over the long holiday weekend...
The Wild and Wonderful Whites of West Virginia just finished its super successful run at the Laemmle Sunset 5 and is now moving downtown to the beautiful Downtown Independent at the corner of Main and Second Street (right near the Edison, the Smell, Little Tokyo and St. Vibania) so that you can witness America in all its glory this July 4th weekend! And yes, boozehounds, the do serve wine and beer so you can watch it "plum tore out of the frame!"
It will only be playing there for one week, so act fast! I'm doing Q+A this Friday and Saturday nights.
And if you are wondering about whether our distributor Robert De Niro or our producer Johnny Knoxville are to be trusted, why don't you click your mousing finger on the links below?
For example, here's a pick of the week from the LA WEEKLY
Slant says, "One can't help but think Werner Herzog would be tickled pink by both the doc and the rebel director behind its lens."
Counterpunch calls it "riveting, hilarious, disturbing and profound."
Jewcy just likes it.
Andy Klein is freaked out but likes it.
And if that weren't enough, some real life white supremacists are pissed about me making the movie and are mocking the size of my nose.
And like they say in the TV ads for Ginzu knives, there's more!
Genius Chef David Sanfield loved the film so much that he not only is offering anyone who goes to the downtown branch of Pitfire Pizza (one half block from the theater) a 10% discount on food if you mention the film, but he also invented a special Jesco White Hillbilly Pie that will only available for one week! Ha ha!
Not only that, the owner of the Downtown Independent will let anyone in tap shoes in for free! And if you come with a group of 12 people, he will admit you for a group rate of $60.
Hope you make it this week!
